Complete dentures are used to replace missing teeth for people with no remaining teeth. Dentures may also be used for people who have lost several teeth. In this case, the appliance is called a partial denture. Tooth loss may result from periodontal disease ( gum disease ), tooth decay, or traumatic injury. It is very important to replace missing teeth. The ill effects of not doing so can be a shift in remaining teeth, an inability to bite and chew properly, as well as a sagging facial appearance, which makes one appear older than they are. The beauty of dentures today is that they are designed to be comfortable and functional. They are very similar in appearance to natural teeth, and can improve a smile or facial appearance.

Dentures

Dentures are full-mouth teeth replacements designed for people lacking any natural teeth. Complete dentures help people who have lost all their teeth due to trauma or poor oral hygiene, giving them better chewing abilities in addition to a more appealing appearance. We have two different sets of dentures.

Classic Dentures

  Process: Both sets of dentures will take about 1 ½ - 2 weeks to make. The patient will come for three separate visits.

  • Impressions – This is when we will take a mold of the patients mouth. Try-In – This is when we will set the teeth in wax to check the bite and make sure that the teeth look the way the patient wants them to look. Pick-Up – This is when the patient will come in and put the teeth in and make sure they fit and have any final adjustments that need to be done.
  • Immediate Dentures: An immediate denture is typically placed to enable proper healing of the extraction sites and serve as an esthetic replacement for natural teeth. It is placed in the patient's mouth right after the teeth are extracted. This will allow the patient to never have to go without teeth.
    ***With Immediate dentures the patient is going to need a reline in about three (3) months. This is due to the fact that the gums will shrink after the extractions are done and will not fit properly. This is NOT included in the price of the dentures.***

Partials

A removable partial denture is a dental prosthesis that replaces some teeth and is built around existing natural teeth. The removable partial denture may be connected to the remaining tooth roots or remaining natural teeth with anchors made of metal or plastic. These connections improve stability and the retention of both prostheses.

• Flipper
  • $200.00 – $250.00 / Each
  • This Partial is used to replace only 2 – 4 teeth usually in the front. It is used for cosmetic purposes only. This will take about 1 – 1 ½ days to complete.
• Acrylic Partial
  • $450.00 / Each or $950.00 / Set
  • This partial is made of only acrylic ( a type of plastic ). It has two metal clasps that will anchor the partial to some of your natural teeth in your mouth.

  Process: You will come for three different visits:

  • Impressions – This is when we will take a mold.
  • Try-In – This is when we will set the teeth in wax to check the bite and make sure that the teeth look the way the patient wants them to look.
  • Pick-Up – This is when the patient will come in and put the teeth in and make sure they fit and have any final adjustments that need to be done. ** This process will take about 1 ½ - 2 wks to finish. **
  
   
• Full Metal Cast Partial
  • $675.00 / Each or $1350.00 / Set
  • The partials framework ( the part that fits to your gums ) is made of metal. The teeth will be attached to the metal frame with acrylic. This is so it will still look like your natural gums. You will not see the metal frame work except for the metal clasps.
• Valplast or Flexible Partial:
  • $875.00 / Each or $1750 / Set

  Process: You will come for three visits:

  • Impressions – This is when we will take a mold of your mouth.
  • Try-In - This is when we will set the teeth in wax to check the bite and make sure that the teeth look the way the patient wants them to look.
  • Pick-Up – This is when the patient will come in and put the teeth in and make sure they fit and have any final adjustments that need to be done. ** This process will take 2½ – 3 wks to finish. We have to send this partial out to a dental lab to make the metal on partial. It takes 2 wks for the framework to come back to our lab. **

Repairs ( Same day service; no appointment needed )

Adjustments

Relines ( Same day service; appointment needed )

Hard Reline

• $160.00 / Each or $320.00 / Set
• This reline should be done on all full dentures about every two years. You will come for a morning appointment and pick your dentures back up in the afternoon on that same day. Our technician will remove some of the plastic from the inside of your denture, and then takes an impression of your gums with the denture. When the denture is removed, the denture now contains an accurate impression of the shape of the gums. The denture is sent to the lab, and the impression material is replaced with pink, hard acrylic in exactly the same shape as the original impression material.

Soft Reline

• $195.00 / Each or $390.00 / Set
• This reline works the same as a hard reline except the consistency of this material can range from waxy to hard rubber, and is generally less likely to give the patient sore spots than ordinary pink acrylic.

Other
